The Haven relies on the volunteers who give generously of their time, and those who volunteer find it very rewarding.
If you are interested in volunteering, there are various opportunities to get involved, from administrative tasks and fundraising to becoming part of our Schools Team or training to become a volunteer Advisor offering counselling.
All prospective volunteers will need to fill out an application form, provide references and complete an enhanced DBS check.
The training process for the counselling roles takes 6 - 12 months, and requires independent study and personal reflection, before a final selection interview.
